According to Flexyourpower.org a family of 4 can save more than 22,000 gallons of water yearly with a dual flush toilet that will flush 1.6  gallons (6 quarts) water for solids and .6  gallons (2 quarts) of water for liquids the average flush is 1.2 gallons (5 quarts) which is the flushing value of a HET toilet.

Will it rust or cause oxidation?
